I was wondering if anybody had any experience or advice about buying a "complete", non running tractor from a salvage yard. My last winter project is finally complete, minus paint. A salvage yard near me, Burgh Implement, had a W9 that I was interested in, or a JD A or G. What would I expect to pay? Fixing it to good condition, or money for good parts isn't much of an issue, I just like to work on tractors. I can't travel far to buy one and the fence rows and tree lines got picked clean this summer due to high scrap prices. Any advice would be appreciated.
