Liabilities of volunteering for a farm.

Have any of you happened across this situation before? I'd like to put in some time helping farm but have a full time job and don't want another. Would any of you be worried about such a thing? In my case I've been putting up my own hay for 5-7 years, repair all my own equipment and everything else needed. What's the chance I could help someone in Oregon with some aspect of their farming? Loren.
P.S. I don't have enough acres to have much fun here, get my drift?
