Leyland 270 tractor Workshop Manual. Fuel injector

I have had a problem with fuel startvation. I have traced this to the 'minimec' (this seems to be a fuel pump injector, which i think pumps each injector with the relevant amount of fuel). I think some dirt has got into this pump as no fuel comes out of the other end and a fuel build up is created when cracked over. I have tried blowing this back with an air line, but no joy. So i have tried to remove this pump but to clean it but have got stuck. The pump is loose but i cannot dislodge it from the engine, something seems to be holding it somewhere. Can anyone help?
