There actually are different types of waxes for different finishes (polyurethane vrs. ???). I don't know the differences, but since there are different types of paints for metal vrs fiber glass, would inmagine is a difference in what you should be using. But then again, I'm thinking that if you take the time to wax your impliments, you are doing more than most do, myself included. And I don't see using the wrong kind of wax as eating a hole through the finish. Probably the types the others have mentioned will not only work fine, will give your impliments a better shine than mine will ever see. I hose mine down, never try to get the oil or grease out of some places, as it prohibits rusting. I remember when GM replaced the 71 series diesels with the more fuel efficient more powerful 92 series, the biggest complaint was that the 92s didn't sling oil all over everything like the 71s, so everythin rusted up and fell apart. Don't take that to mean that I hose mine down with oil, but... now there's a thought. Hmm? LOL. Don't wax in the hot sun or on hot metal or fiberglass, your elbows will hate you afterwards. Mark
