Let me tell you something....I did a custom seeding job for a neighbor with my 750 and it is the best field of alfalfa for a 50 mile radius. We did exactly what you are doing in early March...11 years ago and it still looks great! The guy has since planted other alfalfa fields, but worked the ground to death getting a seedbed. I think you'll find what you are doing is THE way to go!
