Well we need the first question because a lot of miss truths are going around by people that would not know what we are going through down here if it slapped them in the face. I heard it myself on the other cities radio while driving back to my house from Tn.

Do you think Nagin should have evacuated the people before hand??????
If he did and the storm turned he would be criticized for spending money for evacuation.
Should he have opened the dome earlier for a shelter??
No because the last storm and then again this storm the low life’s tour the place apart and stole everything they could.
Blanco and Nagin have only been in office for a short time so how did they steal any federal money for flood control.

I agree our state is know for lining the pockets. We got a former governor and a few judges in jail as we speak.

So what do I think of Blanco and Nagin???
They are both for the poor and hand outs of my tax dollars. I hate them both but that does not mean this flood is their fault. It is not GW's fault either.

Now lets look at the Corp.
We have asked and asked them to do something about the flood risk. I know you say money was already sent and not used for flood control.
But no amount of money will control a flood till they do something about the path of the Mississippi. Look at a map and you will see the Mississippi is dumping all our dirt to rebuild sinking coast line off the continental shelf. The Mississippi is trying very hard to reroute but the Corp will not let it.

If you feel that the feds are throwing money in a bottomless pit write your congressman and let him know such. I think every one in the US should do the same. N.O. should not be rebuilt till the Corp lets the river build coast line to prevent future floods.

Today's Featured Article - The Day Mom Drove the 8N - by Brian Browning. My Dad was wanting to put in a garden but couldn't operate the 8N and handle the old horse drawn plow he had found and rigged up to use with the tractor. Well, he decided to go get Mom out of the house and have her drive the tractor while he walked behind the plow. You got to understand that while my Mom is a hard worker who will always help whenever she can... she had never operated farm machinery before that day. Dad got her out there, explained how the clutch was the same as in our o ... [Read Article]
