Too be honest, I grew up with , if they roam, they are a problem. Did not matter if it was our dog or the neighbors cats. They got shot. Cats that rome do nothing but kill wildlife, breed, make a mess. Always notify the owner first time so they are at least aware of the problem and see if they resolve it, if not .22 caliber shell are cheap. Ya can shoot about 50 cats, rodents,etc., for about $.88
