My guess would be that lock-up is hunting in and out. First two things I would check is your throttle position sensor, and mass air flow sensor. 2-3 shift is mechanical (not computer controlled) 3-4 shift is computer controlled. If it`s hunting, and not slipping there`s a good chance it`s electrical or at least not an internal trans problem. To answer Bubba, there is a vaccuum modulator on this one, but if there was no vaccuum or the mod was bad, you`d get high shifts. Hope this helps Brokenwrench
