Allen, I like your idea of looking around without the salesmen( opps! persons) present. Now I would suggest going to the service department and talking to the mechanics. I'm like all farmers and would like a diesel truck. After talking to the mechanics I thought the better of it. It seems the new 6.0 has some problems that are not being figured out. The mechanics hesitated to talk to me, so give them a little time. They'll tell you what they think. By the way I ended up getting a 1/2 ton with a 5.4. I think a 1/2 ton will suit me just fine for what I pull and haul. The mechanics liked the 5.4. I like the power.
