I don't think they have issued food stamps around here in quite awhile. They give the recipenents a credit card thing, supposed to cut down on fraud. I am 50 and I have a couple friends of mine who are on disability. Both of them appear to be pretty well disabled to me. But I am no doctor. I have heard that some guys go on disability when they become unemployed after 40 or so. I have had a couple of friends who have lost jobs in the last couple of years, and the only thing they could get was retail, 8 - 10 $/hour part time stuff. I wouldn't be surprised if one of them goes on disability, it might pay better. And after all, its about money. Easy.
