howdy brian, Much as I hate to say it, I can"t make it up there this weekend. Busy on Sunday and have folks comin over with their tobacco Saturday. They"ve run out of barn space and we aren"t raising the stuff anymore so I volunteered our barn. Get to have a little show though since I have to pull the old van brunt drill and huber thresher out so they can run the wagon through. Fun fun. God bless ya buddy. p.s. tuffy didn"t buy my R without me knowin did he? ha ha --old fashioned farmer

Recollections of a John Deere GP - by Charlie Cook. I grew up on my dad's 280 acre general farm in Western Michigan. Dad's only tractor when I was very young was the old GP. My first recollection of this tractor was when dad allowed my brother and myself to ride on the tractor with him driving. One of us would sit on the left fender (away from the clutch) and other would sit on the gas tank and hold onto the crankcase breather pipe.
