Around here in s.w.Pa., there is usually enough rain that Sept cut hay has a lot of green undergrowth and ends up looking & smelling pretty good if made right. This year it's been dry & stuff cut now doesn't look very good in a bale. I hope it beats snowballs! That extremely wet year a couple years ago, I was still cutting some 1st, some 2nd & some third in Nov.
