While this is true, it was the outside end and it was standing straight out due to the force of the rotation. Can't say I've ever seen a loose chain come towards the center or outside of the tractor, just straight out.

We ran the tractor for a few years w/out the one fender before we finally had the mounting bracket for it fixed. Never had the tire chains come after me, and I never put anything near the tire while I was driving.
