Paul in Mich, SIR, O Great One:

Anyone who reads your posts would have to be dumber than a used brick not to note your astounding selfishness, ie: lack of moral values. You, Paul in Mich, most certainly DID say "those people who depend on the government to solve their problems get exactly what they deserve." I certainly never said that you have 3500 acres. Nor have I ever asserted that I speak for the "rest of us". That you would deliberately mis-quote anyone says great volumes about your lack of character. If you are an old hired man, no, you probably do not directly get deficienies, PIKs etc. If, in fact, you are the operator and deny the receipt of such, in this depressed agrarian economy, it only says, again, how untruthful you are. You are more than pompous and self absorbed; you are very unkind. I have read that over a quarter million people could not escape Katrina's wrath, many or most, stranded in cities with no elctricity, water, food, and inadequate shelter for days!!

And yet, some callous, selfish, uncaring person writes "Those who depend on the government to solve their problems get exactly what they deserve." Do you deny that you said this Mr Paul in Mich? Why not, it is only one more untruth from you. Are you too cowardly to admit how you have smugly behaved, as other Americans have died waiting for government help to arrive?

If you are capable of thought ruminate on this: There, but for the grace of God, go I. A ways back you were braying about your knowledge of the Konstatoooshun with respect to the election process. However, before we had adopted a constitution, it was preceeded by some other important documents; ie Declaration of Independance. My recollection of one, in particular part, was something defining the purpose and function of a government in a society stating: governments are instituted among men for the betterment of man. It went on to say that if a government was worthless, we had a right, a duty, to implement changes. Fortunately, we can make changes in this society, through the ballot. Since you are such a champion of this administration, are you loyal enough to go and lay in the lawn without food, water, blankets, much less shelter, for 106 consecutive hrs, without any necessary, perhaps lifesaving medications, as a show of patriotic solidarity for the yankee doodle dandy job Washington is doing in the Mississippi Gulf? (If you are struggling about this one the answer is NO.)

"Those who depend on the government to solve their problems get exactly what they deserve", posted by Paul in Mich. Are you man enough? Right, so what, why should you, Archie Bunker never apologized either. WWJD? best, Phil

Today's Featured Article - Harvestin Hay: The Early Years (Part 2) - by Pat Browning. The summer of 1950 was the start of a new era in farming for our family. I was thirteen, and Kathy (my oldest sister) was seven. At this age, I believed tractor farming was the only way, hot stuff -- and given a chance I probably would have used the tractor, Dad's first, a 1936 Model "A" John Deere, to go bring in the cows! And I think Dad was ready for some automation too. And so it was that we acquired a good, used J. I. Case, wire tie hay baler. In addition to a person to drive th ... [Read Article]
