Good point - Fuel is not only the catalyst to the economy - by powering our vehicles it is a catalyst to, really, individual freedom. The automobile is all about freedom when you think about it. The other question is WHY can't the oil companies supply the demand - that's a whole other issue!
If they could operate as efficiently as the American farmer, there may not be a shortage.
Looks like we're back to regulatory agencies - out of the same government that many want to "fix" the problem!!
