"Wouldn't in be nice if we could find a way to preserve out farmlands without having to be legislated into doing it?" All it needs is the ability to turn a REAL profit. Right no the return on land through almost any farming practice (pasture, hay rowcrop) is about 3%. Get that up to 5% to 14% and it would stay in farming instead of being parcelled off.
