a buddy of mine works at a shop that services sthil (he doesnt work on the small stuff but an old timer in the shop does) and he said there having trouble with there new "2 mix or wahtever there called" there having terrible problems with them. i would shy away from sthil at least that new design until they get bugs worked out. shindawa is junk from experience and parts are hard to come by after 5 years. redmax would get my vote. old john deeres are good (ie read taht as 80's john deeres. new ones junk made by homelite. but its like everything merging. wacker merged with husky which merged with blue bird. speaking of husky stray away from them as well
