Had a 72 Dodge 3/4 ton that wouldn't carry any kind of load due to weak springs. Went to a salvage yard and bought 2 Chevy 1/2 ton springs for 50.00 and added about 3 spring to each of the Dodge springs. Seem to raise the Dodge about 3 inches and could carry weight better. I also replaced the front coil springs with chevy 3/4 ton coils. That wasn't as easy as the leafs.
