I'd say you've been told the straight dope but, these cracks about good ol' Amurikin made tractors makes my teeth grate. I just bought new JD 5320 this spring. Engine made in Mexico. Front axle. Carraro/Italy. Lift hydraulics supposedly Yugoslavia (according to JD mechanic), lift arms and top link as well as electronics, Spain. Rear axle Mannerheim, Germany...maybe tranny too. The only thing I KNOW made in USA is the Firestone tires because they say so. Oh yeah, they tossed all the foreign parts together in Georgia.....if you can call that Made in USA. Face it boys, the days of an entirely US built tractor is over and dead UNLESS you buy a humongous 200 hp model.
