IIRC, unless it's a replacement gauge and sender, the Farmall H used a gauge that was attached to the sending unit with a tube...not a plastic tube like some of the cheap aftermarket oil pressure gauges, but a metal tube, because the sender and tube are liquid-filled. You replace the temperature gauge ASSEMBLY, which includes the gauge and the tube and the sender as a single unit, on the Farmall H...as well as a lot of other Farmalls of the era.

So no wires are involved.
