Allan, I say "Go For It". I have never seen a 2 yr old weed. If you have 6 weeks before frost then it will take at least a week for new weeds to sprout, and 3 1/2 weeks to grow. so they don"t have much time to get very big or use all that much moisture. Also you will have some Voulenteer wheat to help cover and compete for the moisture that you have avaible during this late growing season. It will all depend on the soil condition and the rain you get in the next month and half. I wish for you, that you had a Big sweep plow to help control weeds and get you a better seed bed. Tractor Traction - by Chris Pratt. Our first bout with traction problems came when cultivatin with our Massey-Harris Pony. Up till then, this tractor had been running a corn grinder and pulling a trailer. It had new unfilled rear tires and no wheel weights.
