OT- peanut price

Just bought a 18 oz jar of peanut butter at wally world for one dollar. Special from 1.47. Is the price of peanuts that bad? A couple of years ago I couldn't afford to buy them. Peanut farmers must be worse off than corn or wheat.
Yea, I know, you smartaxxes, oil is up, peanuts are down.
