Think about where your 2.199 for a gallon of gas goes............... Oil is 62.00 a barrel That is 1.4761 per gallon Gas is selling on the open market for 1.7450 today. That means the refinery is getting 0.2689 to refine and store it. 0.0200 to haul it from the refinery to the store. 0.3890 tax that leaves 0.0450 profit for the store. So tell me who is getting the most profit out of a gallon of gas. Notice it is the one that puts nothing in and has no investment involved.
