Illinois Boy, I may be wrong about this, but my understanding is that we get no oil from Alaska. I have been told that all of it is exported to foreigh countries for refining. Maybe someone who knows for sure will correct that. I think that the oil coming from South America is very small in relation to mid-eastern oil. Here in Tennessee, the only brand that I know for sure comes from South America is Citgo and the prices there are not any lower than any other place. In any event, considering the rate of inflation in our country, the $.35 oil in 1965 is about on target with the $2.35 oil today. Tom in TN
