I just bought a Farmall M w.f. that hadn't been run for several years but kept inside. To get it home, I drove it 60+ miles in hot nebraska weather. It back-fired a few times at the start but ran fine with solid oil pressure and constant water temp. Because of this long (longer than I wanted)trip, I think? the tractors going to be ok. First of all- I don't really know a thing about Farmall tractors but this one had a farmhand F-10 loader that I will use around my barns and to lift some trusses for my new barn. It is missing a muffer (can I buy this at TSC?)and one of the brakes doesn't work very well. Any suggestion or comment on what to look or things to do before winter. Also, It rusted and I want to paint it. Will the paint at TSC be alright? Thank you
