Agree on using some common sense with using today's lubricants. They are so advanced as to compared to 40 years ago. I remember when single grade was all you could get. We would go thru a set of valves in 45,000 miles and an engine overhaul in 75,000. Chassis lube was 1000 miles. Today folks on here boast of 250,000 " and still going strong" and some chassis points (my dodge ball joints for example) are permanently sealed. An then there were the brakes I used to have to adjust every couple of weeks and could never get them even so that when you stopped you could have your hand off the wheel and it would track straight. Today, with disc brakes on all 4 you never have to adjust them. Rear drums with self adjusters were about that good too. Whadda deal. Mark
