Davis, I retired from a major corp and had a friend in accounting and friends that did business with the company in a big way. The corp would drag out the payment to at least 2 months. Then it got longer and longer on the extended period. The corp was waiting out the debts to try and settle for lesser payment. It is surprising how many small companies settle for a much smaller amount just to keep afloat. Anyone doing business with companies that deal like this are dealing with crooks. Just imagine how much the interest float is on the unpaid millions each month. The companies have batteries of lawyers to keep this scam rolling. Their way of doing business ruined a huge electrical contracting company.
