Howdy, all. I'm looking at putting brakes on our trailer. It's a 7,000lb 16' utility with twin 3500lb axles and 5 on 5" chevy-pattern hubs. I'm not sure the hubs that are installed are compatible with brakes, but if I have to replace them I will. What I'd really like are some general recommendations on what type of brakes I should look to install, what brands you guys like the most, and any good advice you might have. Comments on controllers would help, too. As it stands, I'm mostly looking at putting electric brakes on both axles, but I can probably be persuaded to do otherwise. Y'all have always had some great advice in the past-- thanks for sharing with a newbie!
