I've had a lot of trouble with dexter axles over the years,mostly on corn pro trailers.The earlier ones had problems with the brakes dragging and the adjusters worked backwards from other axles,they adjusted while going forward,most self adjust when applied in reverse.
A friend had two axles replaced for free when he
threatened to sue.The 9000# axles were probably the worst.
