Howdy, all. I spent a couple hours last night pulling the head off of my Ferguson TO-30. It took longer than I expected, and required a tremendous amount of exertion on my part. When I finally got it off, I looked carefully and found that a couple of my head studs seem to be bent slightly. Anyway, while I was pulling the head it was obvious that those studs were what I was fighting against. So, what do I need to do about those-- straighten them up, replace them, fabricate some new ones, etc.? Has anyone made their own head studs and what sort of material did you start with? Lastly, can anyone offer an explanation as to how they got bent in the first place? Seems pretty dang odd to me. As always, I appreciate all replies. Thanks, Darren
