I have several tractors that are 30 to 40+ years old and over 2/3 still have their original rings. I doubt that they were hangar queens. If it needs them put em in. If not don't do it unless you just want to. Boring is expensive and not necessarily a requrement. Depends on what you find when you get there. Read the min-max specs in the service manual. Mark
