We designed our house so that you could raise the windows and the air could blow across the bed, helped along by the attic fan; bedrooms were all on the south side and that is the side for the prevailing wind here in the summer. Problem was, the windows were too short and after building the thing, a neighbor came over one day and remarked that the house looked funny. Yes it did. I had arranged the windows to compliment the interior happenings with no regard for the outside; never occurred to me beins this was the first house I designed and the family built. NONE of the windows were even with the top of the doors like professionally built houses and yes, it did look odd. Mark
