You might have a live pto which is not activated by the clutch, by hydraulic fluid. It has a separate pump and when you pull the lever FORWARD (Clue as to Ind as others you push back), it activates a hydraulic pump which releases the shaft brake and provides pressure to the clutches (pto) and makes her turn. Moving the lever back shuts off the pump and that allows the brake to activate and stop it from spinning. Mark
