Is it really just grass? Are you sure it's not seed milo with a polinator? They use adjustable deheaders just a sickle or with mower blades to go along to cut stuff off like that too. If it done went to seed it will just knock it off for harvest but still more grass next time. They use to have to cut it off with those too before the hybrid milos came along. Use to see some around but those machines are in the scrap heap now.
