Sorry Old, hope it wasn't me. And if it was, I apologize sincerely, honest. As for where to post experiences persay, I do not know. A couple of years ago, I met an oldtimer, about 82 that was selling his tractors, a VAC and a D14. Both were nice, but I wasn't looking for them. The thing is, I spent about a half hour looking them over, and having him explain the modifications like home made power steering that worked very well, and another couple of hours listening to him tell me about resleeving Olivers in the field to finish the plowing, which had to get done. Things like that. It was my pleasure. My pleasure. Turns out that his wife had passed away not so long before that, and as we talked, mostly he talked, he explained that he had a "bad ticker", and told me he didn't expect to be around so much longer. I didn't want to hear that, but he knew himself far better than I did, and I was in no place to argue with him. I suppose his biggest battle was the loss of his partner, and that's a battle that can be impossible at any age. The nicest thing about our talk, was the smile on his face as he remineced to me, and went on...for a couple of hours, until it began getting dark and he had to go in. For as long as he talked, I was willing to listen. I didn't just oblige him, I truely enjoyed it, and picked up a thing or two. Never too old to learn, or be put in my place. You talk, my pleasure, sincerely. Mark

We needed a TRACTOR; not a riding mower or tractor wannabe, but a real TRACTOR. The answer to our needs materialized in the form of a '44 Farmall A, complete with cultivators, discs, single plow, a 5ft.Woods belly mower and one, mounted spare 9.00x24 rear wheel.
