The cable is machined at both ends; one end with an eye and the other a stub. The cable is anchored at the eye end to the lift lever assy. I believe there are two simple pieces of flat steel that provide a link between the cable end and the lift lever. From the anchored end, the cable passes around the pulley that is incorporated in the lift lever assy. From there it travels to a pulley that is mounted on the end of a piece of 1/2" pipe. The cable continues through the pipe up to the top of the lift-all cylinder where it goes around another pulley at the top of the lift cylinder. The cable terminates vertically into the top of the piston rod of the lift cylinder and is held there by a nifty "jam" type piece.
