This fall, I'm going to be shopping for a used skid steer to use to clean my main barn. It's a 200 year old dairy barn, that will be used to house my adult Nubian goats. Eventually, I'll have at least 100 goats in there. This fall, I'll have at least 30 in the main barn. It's just too time consuming (and back breaking) to continue to clean out their living area by hand, so I need a skid steer. The skid steer must be as small as possible. The head clearance in parts of the barn is not much more than 6 feet, and there are support posts in many areas. Any suggestions about models and manufacturers of skid steers, as well as how to operate them in this situation would be appreciated, since I know just about nothing about them, other than I know lots of other farmers who use them for this purpose. Thanks!!
