Under the dash on the passenger side there should be a black box device that has a push in button on it. Find it and push the button in if it will latch. It is a device which shuts off fuel in the event of a roll over or accident. (Hit any hard bumps lately)
If the button does not stay in then there is provision where you can put a paper clip in to bypass the system just as a check to see if the device has malfunctioned. ONLY A CHECK. Replace the device if it is defective. Your life could depend on it some day.
I looked at a truck once where the person shorted out with booster cables and the problem went straight to the computer. Have you shorted anything out lately?
