I can't vouch for this working but in '99 the wife and I visited my relatives in the maritimes and my Uncle Beecher had a lot of house flies around his house. Over the front and back doors he had a brown paper bag bunched up into a shape of a wasp's nest. He said that the flies didn't go near the door area knowing that the wasps will sting them in full flight. How the flies know that I can't tell you, but there weren't any flies in his house. Give it a try and let us know if it works or not.
