You might find something like that in FARMSHOW archives. The straw chopper on older JD, IH, Gleaner combines was often one or two of those assemblies. They were belt driven, but you could use a hydraulic motor for a simpler drive system. Put a guard around the front side, so it contacts obstructions, and the spring-loaded arm will let it pass by.
