I seen combines havesting corn in mid April 2005. East of Highway 21 between Kincardinenand Port Elgin. About 5 miles inland of the east coast of Lake Huron.
Of course the corn being harvested was 2004 crop that had stood and dried through the winter. Stocks had stood the whole winter with the cobs on.
No storage or drying fees, made out better than those who slogged through the 2004 fall mud.
