As I recall Rotenone (spelling is correct or close)) will deplete the oxygen in the water and the vegitation AND ANY TRAPPED FISH will die due to lack thereof. Your ag store should carry it. Couple of points: 1. Don't do the whole thing at once as you need to allow the fish a place to go when you are treating a portion. I think the label says no more than 1/4 of the area at one time and tells you what the gestation and waiting period is. The vegetation merely sinks to the bottom; fish float. Ha! 2. If you deplete your pond of all vegitation, any fry fish will be at the mercy of any preditor fish and next years harvest could be wiped out in a matter of days. Mark
