I enjoy this tech advice, I have the same ype of lawn mower I"s a 6 HP the carb in mounted on the side of the head I have removed the carb and cleaned it. It does Not have the diaphram. Just a O-Ring seal where it meats the haed and a gsket wher it meets the air filter cover. I replaced the primer ball also. I have the same problem it will run for 2 seconds then stalls. This is the third Briggs & stratton that has done this I"m determined to fix this one. Thanks Fred
