Are you a professional engineer? Why not go out as a consulting engineer? A friend of mine just graduated a year ago, and he is now interning with an ag engineering firm. He loves it. There is a great variety to what he is doing. I know he held out a while before he took this job, but it's working out well, and in another 3 1/2 years, he'll be free and clear to work for himself where he pleases. That's just a thought. I think you have to find something that you love, an go for it.
