I have a 1100 honda shadow. About 45mpg highway. Its more of midsize. Pretty good for most crusing. Some bikes only get in the 30's fuel econony. Bikes i enjoy riding, but as someone else said, Gas is the only cheap thing about them. THere is insurance, maintainence, etc. TIres only last about 5-10 thousand miles. Very expensive to install. On and on. However, you have a good arguement to justify it, Enjoy.
