You may need to get a manual so that you can learn how to adjust those darn things. It can be hell if you don't know why it won't tie. We had to do a lot of adjusting on my IH 46 to get it to work even had to remove shims from the twine holder so it would hold it tight. But sooner or later you will learn and get it working great. just remember that all those shims and adjustments are there for a reason.
