OT car trouble

I am having trouble with my 1990 mercury couger with the 3.8 v-6. Last summer we had trouble with it not wanting to start at times when it has been driven, then when it would sit for an hour or so it would start up. When cooler weather came we had no problems with it. When it warmed back up it started with the same thing again. When it does start it misses. We have had three different mechanics work on it. We have changed the coil, distributer cap and rotor, and ignition module. Does anyone have any ideas as to what to do next.
