Hay Accumulators for Small Square Bales

I am looking for comments from those of you out there who have some experience with hay accumulators. There seem to be a few varieties out there, but the biggest difference seems to be that some leave the bales flat and some actually turn them on the side. Traditional wisdom says to store bales on their sides. And yet accumulators that leave the bales flat outnumber the ones that turn the bales on their sides. I've been using one made by BaleSport (C5 Equipment, Inc.) since last year and it seems to do the job, except that if I want the bales to be stored on the side, I have to turn them manually. Anyway, your thoughts. If these accumulators are built to leave bales flat and the grabber picks them up flat, I can probably store them flat. Or not? I'd appreciate any feedback on this issue.
