If you know how to use a wrench you can. My WD has one on it. Don't know if it gave it more power or not it was on it when I bought it. If you do it remember to get spark plugs for a D-17. which are different than for a WD. I put new plugs in mine and they kept fouling until I found out it was a D-17 head and started using different plugs.
