Norman, Go to the bottom of the page and click on home. Go to the column on the right and scroll down to Ford 9n/2n/8n and you will find a lot of guys there willing to get you started. One of the first things they will tell you is to get the I&T Shop Manual for the 8N which is available on this site under Market Place / Manuals. This is a great publication that will help you keep her going. Ticks? Sorry can`t help you there.

After two summers of having to park my old 1964 model 4000 gas 4 cyl. on a hill just in case the 6 volt system, for whatever reason, would not crank her, I decided to try the 12 volt conversion.
